Restoring clear vision
Cataract Surgery
Modern phacoemulsification with premium intraocular lens options. A day-case procedure with rapid visual recovery and minimal downtime.
What to expect
Cataract surgery is the most commonly performed surgical procedure in ophthalmology. A cataract is a clouding of the natural lens inside the eye, causing blurred vision, glare, and difficulty with everyday tasks.
The procedure involves removing the cloudy lens through a small incision using ultrasound energy (phacoemulsification) and replacing it with a clear artificial intraocular lens (IOL). The entire procedure typically takes 15–20 minutes and is performed under local anaesthetic as a day case.
Premium lens options are available for patients who wish to reduce their dependence on glasses after surgery, including multifocal and toric lenses for astigmatism correction.
